I received fidelity 1099-DIV form for SPAXX. I live in Texas. Do I need to check the box asking if a portion of these dividends is U.S. Gov't interest? If so how do I figure out what amount to put?

    Q.  Do I need to check the box asking if a portion of these dividends is U.S. Gov't interest?

    A. No. Only people who have to file a state return need to enter that.

    SPAXX  dividends are 55.0877% U.S. Gov't interest.
