How do I fix an entry that asks for a state ID?

One of mine 1099_NEC does not have a state ID

Unless you had more than one state to use, you should be able to enter the 1099-NEC in the federal section of the program and the information will pull into your state return.

If you had any state income taxes withheld in boxes 5-7 of your Form 1099-NEC, you will need to contact the issuer of the 1099-NEC form to obtain their State ID number.

Each number is unique to the issuer of the forms and will need to match the amounts reported to ensure there are no discrepancies between the amount reported on the form and the amount reported on your income tax return.
