You'll need to delete the form and then start over.  Instead of having the TurboTax system import the 1099-INT from the bank you'll need to click "Ill enter it myself.

Then you'll need to type in the information for the 1099 into TurboTax yourself.  But that will allow you to change the state information as you need.

Please clarify your question.

  • Describe the issue?
  • Do you have W-2 entries for either or both states?
  • Which state is incorrect?
  • Do you live or work in either, or both states?

Please contact us again to provide some additional details.

It is for the 1099-INT form and was flagged on review for "wrong zip code."

I work in one state and live in another. The state I work in expects to see their state listed so it was filled out. I cannot update it to the state I live in so the address is incorrect and the zip code is considered incorrect but it is my address. I just want to correct the form but cannot find how to do that.
