How do you change my state for my state return? The system recognizes my home address, but it is trying to file in the wrong state.

TurboTax Deluxe Online

On the page that says Status of your state returns, click on Add a State to add the needed state. Next, click the trash can next to the state you do not need.

Another way to do it properly..

...You go back to the My Info section and edit the info about yourself....(not the Mailing Address, but yourself) i.e. the place where you entered your name and SSN...edit that. Your state of residence/domicile is supposed to be your home/residence at the end of 2022. (Subtle exceptions for college students and military personnel)
