the state has a new FMLA- OrFMLA which I used while I was off having back surgery as I didn't have ST Disability. How is this handled, I entered my 1099-Misc. but it doesn't look right, the questions are around a job, not an employment benefit.

You must enter the 1099-MISC to report Oregon FMLA as follows:

    1. On the screen titled "Describe the reason for this 1099-MISC", enter Paid Family Leave and Continue.
    2. On the next screen titled "Does one of these uncommon situations apply?", select None of these apply and Continue.
    3. On the next screen asking whether the income involves work that's like your main job, select No, it didn't involve work like your main job.  Select Continue.

This will include the income as Miscellaneous income.  The TurboTax interview is designed to target the different 1099-MISC entries.  It probably needs to be updated since the 1099-NEC reports most self-employment income.
