You may have misunderstood.  You cannot defer receiving a tax refund to the next tax year.

What you probably did was Apply the 2022 tax refund to this years taxes.

To enter, change or delete a refund from the prior year applied to this years taxes (Federal, State, Local) -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
On Other Income Taxes, click on the start or update button

On the next screen select the options under 2022 Refund Applied to 2023

Or enter refund applied to this year in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to refund applied to this year

Did you file an Arizona tax return last year?

When it comes to Arizona income tax refunds, processing times vary and depend on how taxpayers file (e-file or paper) and the date the return was filed. Individuals waiting for refunds can check their status by visiting Where’s My Refund on AZTaxes.gov.
