Husband is in the reserves. He lives in FL but goes to MS once a month for 2 days. W2 has FL listed as the state. Is he considered working out of state?

Do we need to file for MS state taxes even though his W2 has FL listed as the state?

No, since he is in the military and his home of record is FL he does not need to file in MS.
