Question

I am buying my first home and it is a new construction. It requires solar. I am paying full price of solar to the builder, and would I be able to claim the tax credit?

I thought I would be purchasing the solar from the solar company, but I was told to pay to the builder. I was hoping for clarification of the tax credit/or rebate for first purchase.

    yes you can but the builder would have to supply you with the amount for the qualifying costs.
