I am not being prompted to enter my 529 contributions for deduction from my Indiana state taxes. How can I do this?

On you state return:

  1. Look for the screen Take a look at Indiana credits and taxes.
  2. Scroll down and find Indiana College Choice 529 Plan under Education.
  3. Click Start or Revisit to the right.
  4. Answer Yes to the next two questions.
  5. Enter your information on the next screen.

Indiana taxpayers can get a state income tax credit equal to 20% of their contributions to a 529 account, up to $1,500 per year ($750 for married filing separately)
