I can't file my state return without correcting the withholding ID number, which is 14 characters long with no dashes. How do i do that?

For which form is TurboTax saying the state ID is incorrect?

Try deleting the form and reentering it.

If the error continues, you can use the Federal ID for box 15.

Also for form W-2, If you don't have any amount in box 17, leave boxes 15-17 empty.

This has ben going on for multiple years.

Here is the TRICK:

1) Delete the entire ID number.

2) Then retype it BUT ...make sure the final three letters are in..... lower case..... wth.
