Question

I cannot find the option to select Tennessee in the state list for Box 15 when filling out my W2? Using mobile app Samsung S24 Ultra.

The app won't let me continue and leave it blank. Why have a list of states? It'd be so much easier to give an option to type my answer in!

    Several  states do not have a state income tax.  So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists.   Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

     

    Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming
