I cannot select a state of residence because I live in Mexico

To enter your foreign residence for your personal info in TurboTax Online: 

1. Open TurboTax Online
2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
3. On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Personal Info box, then select Start or Continue 
4. On the Personal info summary screen, select Edit to the right of the appropriate taxpayer
5. On the Your personal info page, select the dropdown under State of residence (on December 31, 2023)
6. At the bottom of the choices, select Foreign or U.S. Possession
7. Select Continue

Repeat the above for your spouse, if appropriate. 

To enter a foreign address in TurboTax Online:

1. Open TurboTax Online
2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
3. On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Personal Info box, then select Start or Continue 
4. On the Personal info summary screen, select Edit to the right of Mailing address
5. On the Enter your current mailing address page, select the dropdown under Type of mailing address
6. Select Foreign country
7. Enter the rest of your address information and select Continue
