Question

I contributed to a 529 Plan for my child in the state of Utah, which offers state income tax deductions for 529 contributions. How can I enter this in my UT State form?

Yes, you are correct, since 529 contributions are only deductible for state, not federal, you can directly go to the state taxes section of TurboTax Online.

    Here's how:

    1. Navigate to the left side of your screen once logged in, go to State Taxes > Your State Returns > Utah > Start or Continue

    2. Continue until you arrive at "Let's Check for Apportionable Utah Credits", answer "Yes"

    3. Continue to "Utah Educational Savings Plan (my529) Credit" where you can enter the my529 credit.  You must have received Form TC-675H already in order to take the credit.
