I do not have my employer's state ID since they have not finished registering, but state taxes were still withheld for 2023. What number do I put in box 15 instead?
I moved to a new state in June 2023, but I still work remote for the company in my old state. They were supposed to register as a business in my new state, but never finished the registration. Because of this, there is no state ID number for me to use. Can I just use the federal ID number in box 15 instead?
