I do not know the date as a resident of North Carolina. I only know it was in August 2024.

I lived in Washington State until moved to North Carolina.

    If you don't have a rental agreement, employment record or something similar to reference, you may use August 1 or a best estimate of the date you moved to North Carolina.

     

    "An individual who moves their domicile (legal residence) into or out of North Carolina during the tax year is a part-year resident.

     

    If you were a Nonresident or Part-Year Resident and received income from North Carolina sources, complete Form D-400 Schedule PN, 2024 Part-Year and Nonresident Schedule to determine the percentage of total gross income from all sources that is subject to North Carolina tax."

    Since Washington State does not have a state income tax, you will only need to file a (Federal & NC Part-Year tax return.
