I entered in my W-2 form for when I was a part-time resident in Florida and my Cal refund went down. Why? I was a resident in Florida and all wages were earned in Florida

IF you actually moved your home & stuff permanently from FL-to-CA, or CA-to-FL (And were not just in Florida temporarily, like just for the summer or winter job)
That will eventually be handled when you go thru the Part-Year-Resident CA tax return....during the CA Q&A, you'll be able to indicate what sub-part of your full year's income was actually earned/received while you were a CA Resident.
Thus, just keep entering ALL your income in the Federal section until every scrap of income has been entered. Only then go thru the CA Q&A and tell CA what part was actually theirs.
If you jump to the CA part too soon, and make any later changes in the Federal section, then you'll have to go thru the entire CA income allocation Q&A all over again. SO get the Fed part perfectly filled out first.
