Solved

I entered my 2019 state refund in the state form but the state summary shows a much higher number than what I entered. Any idea why?

One possible reason:  If you received a Form 1099-G from your state reporting your state income tax refund, and you entered it as income in the federal portion of your TurboTax entries, it may already be included on your state return.

Many states start with your federal adjusted gross income as the starting point for their state returns.  If your state does this, and you added it again, you’ll obviously wind up with a refund amount much higher than in reality.

Please see the TurboTax Help article Where do I enter a 1099-G for a state or local tax refund? for additional information.

Thank you. I'll take a closer look at the Federal return info I entered.
