Question

I filed my Indiana state tax return and owe tax. State accepted my return. Do I need to then send the payment or will it come out of my bank account like my Fed tax did?

You can look at your Indiana IT-40 to see the balance due listed on line 26.

I believe Indiana can deposit a refund into a bank account but I don't think they use electronic withdrawals for payments.

I believe you must mail the payment. The address is listed on the tax return.

• Mail payments to: Indiana Department of Revenue, P.O. Box 7224, Indianapolis, IN 46207-7224.
