Question

I get paid through a waiver for shared living, which is post tax money so my income is non-taxable. How do I file taxes?

Do you have other income or are you trying to claim the EITC or CTC?

Your Medicaid waiver payments should have been included on a W-2 for you.  So, you will enter it as a regular W-2, then you finish entering the numbers, on the next screen you will select this money is a Medicaid Waiver program payment.  Then it will ask you for the amount that was part of the waiver.  Enter that and it will not be included as taxable income.
