Question

I have a state ID. No drivers license. The state ID is lifetime and the expiration date is 99/99/9999. Can't enter 9999 as the expiration year. What do I do to file

    You are not even required to enter an ID in order to e-file a federal return.  Entering a drivers license or state ID adds some extra security, but you are allowed to skip it.   There are some states that are picky about e-filing --if your state is picky you might need to file state by mail.
