I have already efied my federal return and just added state tax adendum, but it looks like turbotax wants to efile the federal again

It might be a good idea to double-check to ensure that you completed all of the filing steps for your federal return the first time around. There are several, and sometimes people accidentally don't proceed all the way through.

You can check your e-file status here. If you discover that you actually didn't complete the e-filing steps for your federal return, please carefully proceed through all of them and click the orange button at the bottom that says "Transmit my returns now".
