Question

I have been working at Amazon and when doing taxes there is no Washington State, State Id on the W-2. I have even asked HR and a bunch of other help lines. What do I do?

Washington state does not have a personal income tax so leave boxes 15, 16 and 17 blank (empty) when completing the TurboTax W-2.

Washington State does not have an state income tax. So most pulldown menus won't have a WA, because there is no need.

Normally, in your case, you would not enter anything in boxes 15, 16, 17 from your W-2. It does happen on occasion that a payroll processor will print WA in the beginning of box 15 even though there are no other entries to make - if so, just ignore the WA.
