I just did ask. Please help me find the remainder of my solar tax credit amount from last year

Yes i know what the solar tax credit is and how much i was able to claim in total.     I claimed it last year but could not claim it all,    I need to know the amount i can claim THIS YEAR

The amount you were able to carryforward from 2022 to 2023 will be on your 2022 form 5695 line 16.  

 

As this is a nonrefundable credit, the amount that is rolled over to this year will again be limited by your tax liability on line 16 of your 1040 minus other nonrefundable credits.
