Question

I live and work in Colorado. The company owns lots of stores and I was sent to Nebraska to work for a few days last year. Do I need to pay taxes in Nebraska?

Does your W2 list both NE and CO in the state section toward the bottom?  It would list income from each state as well as withholding from each state.

If CO is the only one listed, you don't need to do anything else.  If NE is listed, you would want to start with the Nebraska return and then complete the Colorado return.  Colorado will give you credit for tax paid to Nebraska.
