I live and work in texas, but my job also requires me to oversee units in louisianado i pay louisiana state taxes?

If you actually work in Louisiana some of the time, then yes, you should be paying Louisiana income tax on the portion of your income you earn in that state.  Your employer should be tracking your time there and reporting that part of your income as LA income and withholding LA tax.  If you manage LA units from Texas and don't work there or just make an occasional day trip or overnight trip then you don't need to pay LA tax.
