We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?

Are you asking if you still need to file in your old state, or something else?

Did you live in your old state during 2023?

Hello, sorry i didnt clarify i didnt get alot of characters up there on the question

I currently live in washington state but still have to do my va state taxes

I did my federal taxes first because my w2s for my job in Virginia were not shipped to me. The federal return was accepted

The issue started when i tried to fill out my state on turbotax, where after i filled out my wages, tips, etc and filled out my state income tax smart check said i needed to recheck because my income shouldn't be higher than my federal.

The only reason i think im ok is because i lived in va most of the year in 2023 i didn't even move to wa until august so my income should be higher then right?

Anyway, if you can help me decipher this please help me, thank you for your time
