I live in Colorado, I would like to know Why Im paying the state? & What its for?

My Co Return says I owe $1900, what that for? I didnt recieve any help from The state? I dont understand why Im having to pay.

The usual reason for owing the state is that you did not have enough state tax withheld from your paychecks.

Double check all of the amounts your entered from your tax documents. Pay special attention to anything you entered from W-2 boxes 16 and 17. Look for misplaced decimals or extra zeros.

Or print out your 2023 state return and put it side by side with your 2024 state return to compare line by line what is different this year.
