I live in IN and work in IL. w-2 lists wages as IL and IN but only w/h IL taxes (correctly). Do I need w-2c or just enter correctly in tax form?

employer incorrectly shows my wages as IL wages and IN wages.  They should only be IL wages.  There was no IN tax w/h only IL tax was w/h.  I want to just file listing all wages as IL. I do not want a notice from Indiana. I would think this happens all the time and Indiana would understand.

You do not need a corrected W-2.  Enter your W-2 exactly as is.  You have to file a tax return in both states.  You must file a non-resident tax return in Illinois in addition to your regular tax return in Indiana.  That's because (like all other states) Illinois can tax non-residents on income earned within its borders.  You'll be able to take a credit on your IN return for taxes paid to IL.
