I live in MI but earned money in IN. Do I need to file a State Return in IN?

No, you don't need to file an IN income tax return is you did not have live in IN and did not have IN income taxes withheld from your paychecks. MI and IN are reciprocal states. 

 

reciprocal agreement, also called reciprocity, is an agreement between two states that allows residents of one state to request exemption from tax withholding in the other (reciprocal) state. This can save you the trouble of having to file multiple state returns.
