Question

I live in NH and work in MA. I worked from my NH home for 7 months this year and feel that I can apportion the income. Any thoughts?

You are correct, the income belongs in the state where you work while you earn it.

If you never lived in Massachusetts, you can file a Non-Resident Return to report your MA income.

You always report all of your income to your Resident State of New Hampshire.  They give you credit for any tax you paid to Massachusetts.
