Prepare the NON-resident state return first, then the return for the state you live in.

With OR & CA doing a reverse credit for taxes paid in another state...it seems like the resident state should be prepared first.
i.e. for an OR resident working in CA, the credit for taxes paid in another state goes on the CA nonresident tax return....at least it has in prior years. This is completely opposite from what most states do, but it's how CA handles it vs a couple other states.

@SteamTrain Ugh-----in most cases the "rule" is to do the non-resident state first......so CA has to be different? So.....maybe forget anything I said, @baneal
