Question

I live in PA and work remotely for a NC company. They withheld PA taxes. Is that PA income?

For 10 months I lived and worked in PA. Then I accepted a full-time remote job at a company that is headquartered in NC.

On my W-2, the NC company withheld taxes for PA.  Does that mean I only need to file in PA?

Yes, it's Pennsylvania income.  You'll need to file a Pennsylvania return, assuming that your gross taxable income in the state was more than $33.

If you didn’t actually work in North Carolina, you won’t need to file a return for that state.
