Solved

I lived in MD for the entire year, but worked in VA and MD. In Box 17 (state income tax) of my VA W-2 it lists a number. Should I request a refund amount?

VA and MD have a reciprocal agreement where they don't tax each others' residents on wage income. So, VA cannot tax your wages earned there if you live in MD (and vice versa). If you had VA tax withheld then you need to file a nonresident VA return claiming 0 income earned there to get all of the withholding back.

See this about reciprocal states, and if you still work in VA then be sure to submit Form VA-4 linked there to your VA employer so they will withhold MD taxes instead.

The big question is do you have to pay VA tax as you worked there?  I do not know as I grew up there and worked in DC but paid MD tax.  I thought the same was true for VA.  I would think they would take out MD based on residence as you are still on the hook for that.  Work should be able to tell you also the state of VA.
