Question

I lived in NYC for 5 months and 7 in Yonkers. My NYC locality wages reflects only what I earned in 5 months but Yonkers one shows the full year earnings. Is this correct?

Hypothetical example:
Total wages in 2022: 50k

Locality: NYC
Box 18 (wages): 20k

Locality: Yonkers
Box 18 (wages): 50k

Shouldn't Yonkers wages be 30k ?
(50 - 20) = 30

You are subject to New York City or Yonkers local tax for wages you earn while living there or working there. So, the local wages reported on your W-2 form should reflect that. If they are reported wrong, you would have to ask your employer for a corrected W-2 form.

So that means the wages section (box 18) for the Yonkers locality should only list whatever I made from June till December ?

The reason I ask is because I was reading about the full year residency time being >= 184 days and given that I lived Yonkers for more than that, not sure if that meant something.

Yes, you should only be subject to local taxes on your wages for the time you lived or worked in the city. What may have happend is that your employer didn't change your residentcy or work status to reflect your move out of the city.

I think you are referring to this passage from the New York Departmet of Revenue income tax site:

That means if you have a permanent home or apartment in New York but don't live there all the time, but do live there for at least 184 days in the year, in that case you will be considered a resident . The same is applicable to New York City and Yonkers.

I don't don't think that would apply to you, since you moved out of the cities in question.

You must go back through the New York part of TurboTax and carefully go answer the questions and make adjustments for New York City and Yonkers.  The screenshots below are the ones you need to look for:
