I lived in the district of columbia for part of the year. should I select full-year resident?

No.  if you only lived there for part of the year, then you would select that you lived there part of the year. You would file a DC part year resident return. 

 

Which form do I file if I was a part-year resident of the District of Columbia?
Use Form D-40 (visit Tax Forms, Publications, and Resources); however, you must prorate your standard deduction or itemized deductions and your personal exemptions.
