I'm living out of state from where I am filing. Which state address do I list as my principal residence?

I lived in-state during the whole filing year but moved to another state on January 1st. Do I need my current address listed as principal residence or does it need to match the state where I lived and am filing taxes?

Where do you want the IRS or your state to mail you a letter or a check?   Use that address.
