I need assistance with the solar tax credit in SC. Turbo tax is telling me I need to include form SC SCH TC-54A, but how do I add it?

South Carolina Form SC SCH.TC-54A is not supported by TurboTax. To claim the credit, download the form and fill it out by hand. You will have to mail your state return to because you will not be able to attach the Clean Energy Credit form to an e-filed South Carolina return.

1. Calculate the credit on the SC credit form found here: Application for Clean Energy Credit.
2. Enter the credit into TurboTax by following these steps:
   • On the screen Take a look at South Carolina credits and taxes click Start beside South Carolina Other Non-refundable Credits.
   • Check Clean Energy Credit.
   • Enter the amount as calculated from Form SC SCH.TC-54A.
   • Select the option to File by Mail and attach the credit form to your South Carolina return when you mail it in.
