Question

I received Colorado PERA pension payments in 2023 but live in California. Do I owe state taxes on these payments to either Colorado or California?

    If you are living in California while receiving our pension, then your pension is taxable to CA.  

     

    Even though you earned the Pension while living in CO, it is not taxable to CO since you are now a nonresident of CO.
