Question

I received letter from State of MI reducing my carry forward from 2017 to 2018. originally was 415 and now I need to adjust that to 115$. How do I do this?

Please take a closer look at the letter. Normally when the state or IRS makes a statement like that, they will adjust your return and are asking if you agree to the change.

If they are rejecting your original return, you will need to file an amended return for the state. If the carry-forward is also incorrect for the federal, you may need to amend that as well.
