I recently filed my taxes and it stated I owed money for Georgia state taxes; however, I received a check and there is no balance on the GA department of revenue

No one else can see your tax return, so we do not know what happened. The state does not share any information with TurboTax after you file your tax return. If GA changed something and gave you a refund, they will send you a letter in a few weeks to explain what they changed. Or you can contact the state to ask.
