Question

I was a resident more than half a year and did not work in the other state, why do I need a NR form if I have no income from the other state

You probably do not have to file a part-year return in your second state if you did not earn any income there. States have different rules. Without knowing which states you lived in, I cannot tell you whether you have to file a return for your second state.

 

If you did not pay for TurboTax, you can delete your second state.

  • Click State in the left column
  • Click Your State Returns at the top
  • Click Delete next to the state you wish to delete
