Did you receive unemployment income in 2020?

If so, this income would have been reported on a Form 1099-G.

What is a Form 1099-G.

If you did not receive a Form 1099-G, you can use the link below as it applies to your state to request a replacement form. The amounts on this form are reported to the taxing agencies and matched with the amounts reported on your tax return, so it is important to ensure the amounts reported to the taxing agencies match.

Contact information for 1099-G forms

You will enter this information in the federal interview section.

  1. Select Income & Expenses
  2. Scroll down to All Income and select Unemployment
  3. Select Unemployment and paid family leave
  4. You will be able to enter your information from your Form 1099-G

1099-G input details

I have also attached a link with more details on how to locate the information you need from your Form 1099-G.
