I work in Pennsylvania and reside in Indiana (both states are under a tax reciprocity agreement). How can I get a refund for the Pennsylvania state income tax withheld?

In order to get a refund of Pennsylvania tax, file a non-resident tax return, reporting zero income as Pennsylvania sourced, and request a refund.  For Indiana, file a resident return and report the wages as if you earned them in Indiana.

Provide PA Form REV-419 to your employer so they cease withholding PA taxes from your paycheck.

Thankyou, @MindyB This really helps to finish my taxation for year 2024

For year 2023, although my nonresidential tax was $0 (filed for PA), however I didnot request for such refund (against non residential state income tax withholding as i was not sure of reciprocal agreement). Am i still eligible for it, if so how to amend this situation for 2023?

    Many thanks in advance!

Yes, you can still file a 2013 PA return for a refund.
