I work in WV & live in KY. Filed non-resident but it’s saying I owe $2,000 to WV state tax. It cannot be right

Since KY and WV have reciprocal state agreements, all of your wages should have had KY tax withheld. You should not need to file a WV return at all.

If your W2 shows WV tax:

1. Determine if your W2 can be corrected

2. Discuss this with your employer for moving forward correctly.
