Question

I worked a one day job in Wisconsin (non-resident) and made $1100. It says I owe $123 in state taxes - does this seem accurate and why?

$123 seems a little high for what I earned for one day of work. I'm just curious if I did something incorrect or if someone could explain why this is? I made more money in another state (non-resident) and owe much much less.

Yeah, seems too high.

You really need to go thru all the Non-resident WI Q&A again and make sure you've entered your WI allocations properly......only that 1100 of income should be assigned as being WI income...nothing else.....all other types of income needs to be set at zero.  (make sure you didn't accidentally enter it as  11,000 either)
