If you moved to Georgia in 2024, you will file a Part Year resident tax return for North Carolina and Georgia (if you earned any income in Georgia).

    When is "just moved"  ???

    1) if it was in January of 2025? then you file a Resident NC tax return because that is where you were all of 2024

    2) if it was late in 2024 (Nov, Dec?), then in the My Info section, you indicate that you were a GA resident at the end of the year and "moved" from NC.  Then you will file Part-Year NC and Part-YR GA tax returns to allocate what income was NC (everything up until you moved to GA), and the rest as GA income (everything after the move to GA, mutual fund distributions, interest, dividends etc).  How the late 2024 wages are handled will depend on whether you continued to work in NC after moving to GA  (that sometimes happens as GA and NC do have a section of border )
