If I am a resident of Utah, but worked in California for 2 months would I have to say I made income in another state?

Yes. You will have to file a nonresident tax return for CA.  Prepare you CA nonresident tax return first, then your resident tax return for Utah.

For additional information, review the TurboTax Help articles: Why would I have to file a nonresident state return? and How do I file a nonresident state return?
