If I am exempt from SS, how do I enter this?

If you are entering your income under self employment be sure to use the business code 813000.

Schedule C business code is 813000 - Schedule C is used for any clergy income that was not as an employee such as funerals, weddings or special speaking engagements as example; or if they  work independently and not for just one church; or if the church did not report the income on a W2.

If you are entering income from a W-2, be sure to select  the question about "uncommon situations" by selecting 'Religious employment'

1. Select "You earned this income for clergy employment > Continue
2. Enter the amount of the housing allowance and the amount of qualifying expenses

One of the choices is that you have an approved form 4361 exemption.
