If I claimed the new EV federal tax credit on my 2021 taxes and I buy another new EV this year, will that one also qualify for the tax credit?

Yes, if you purchase and place into service the vehicle in 2023 you will be eligible for the EV credit on your 2023 tax return that you file in 2024.

Thank you. I thought there was a limit on how often you could claim the tax credit.  For instance, you can only claim the credit for USED EVs every three years.  But there is literally no mention of a limit on how often you can claim the NEW EV credit in any IRS documentation that I can find.  So I suppose the default is that there is no limit.

@toddstein Correct, there is no limit on a new (never owned) EV vehicle.
