If I lived and worked in two different states do I need to file Two separate tax returns

Yes. Complete your federal first and then the states.

Yes, you would have to file two state tax returns if the state has a personal income tax.

In the My Info section of the program you enter your resident state as of 12/31/2023.  You are asked if you lived or made money on another state in 2023.  Answer the questions appropriately.

In general, yes you would file two part-year state returns unless one of the states does not impose and income tax.
